Situated on five beachfront acres, Hanalei Colony Resort offers 48 deluxe Kauai condo rentals, all with sweeping views of Hanalei Bay or Kauai’s lush mountains. The resort’s traditional plantation-style architecture harks back to Hawaii’s sugar plantation era, and its low-rise buildings blend harmoniously with the natural environment.
All of Hanalei Colony’s condos are the same size and floor plan, featuring a full kitchen, dining/living room area, two bedrooms, and one & a half or two bathrooms. Bedrooms are enclosed with sliding louver doors, providing the option to leave the doors open for extended living area.
Each unit is designed to capture the stunning views, island breezes, and ocean sounds with a private lanai (patio), large picture windows, and wooden louver door and window shutters. The stylish tropical décor includes custom-made furniture sporting a motif designed exclusively for Hanalei Colony—a carved taro leaf, representing the land and culture of Kauai’s north shore, known for its vast and beautiful taro fields.
Hanalei Colony prides itself on providing a truly “unplugged” island getaway for its guests. Units do not have televisions, stereos, or phones, and guests are encouraged to relax and immerse themselves in the resort’s leisurely ambiance and the sheer beauty of the surrounding area. However, complimentary high-speed wireless internet is available in each unit for those who wish to stay connected to the outside world.

Our Premium Ocean condos are approximately 10 feet from the beach, with panoramic ocean views. In a ground floor Premium Ocean unit, you can step off your private lanai and your feet are in the sand!
Our Oceanfront condos are approximately 30 feet back from the beach, but still only a few steps away. The ocean views are spectacular but not as panoramic as a Premium Ocean unit.
Our property offers Ocean View condos that are approximately 150 feet from the sand, adjacent to a grassy courtyard. These units provide lovely ocean views, but are not directly on the beach.
Our property offers Garden View condos facing Kauai’s magnificent north shore mountains and situated approximately 250 feet from the sand. These units boast a serene mountain view and are set back from the ocean on a sprawling lawn.
