Good news for those of you on the East Coast that dream of Kauai, but haven’t been here yet. Hawaiian Airlines announced that they will be launching non-stop daily flights between Honolulu and New York City, beginning June 2012.
The New York flights will add more than 100,000 new air seats annually from the East Coast. So, one of those seats should have your name on it, don’t you think? The inaugural flight, Flight 50 (with the TV show “Hawaii Five-0” in mind), will take to the skies on June 4, 2012.
Introductory fares were offered at $212 one way (economy) and $808 one way (first class). It's no coincidence that “212” is the area code in NYC and “808” is the area code in Hawaii. While the introductory fares sold out quickly, you can still book your reservation on Hawaiian Airlines and join us at the Hanalei Colony Resort for a visit.
To get to Kaua`i, you’ll still need a flight from Honolulu to Lihue, but it’s a short trip. You’ll be here before you know it. So, wherever you live – whether it’s in the Big Apple or beyond – we look forward to seeing you here on the beautiful Garden Island.
