When you’re on Kauai, looking for adventure, one of the most amazing trips you can experience is Na Pali Coast kayaking.
Launching from the north shore, you’ll paddle the turquoise blue waters of the Pacific and find yourself in awe. Majestic cliffs (known as “pali”) that rise as high as 4,000 feet soar above you – you might even see mountain goats that make trekking along the hillside look simple. The steep, rugged cliffs create valleys interspersed with waterfalls and flowing streams, each leading to the ocean.
While the trip is unforgettable and will be firmly ingrained in your memory for a lifetime, bringing your camera is a must. You’ll want to capture the incredible tropical scenery and abundant marine life that surrounds you.
As you cruise along, you’ll paddle in and out of sea caves and may find yourself in the company of friendly spinner dolphins or playful seals. Prepare yourself for a journey unlike any other you’ve probably taken in the past.
There’s a reason that Islands Magazine voted this adventure #3 on their list of “Top 10 Wild Adventures” in June of 2011. And, in 2000, kayaking the Na Pali was selected as the #2 adventure on National Geographic’s list of “America’s Best: The Adventure 100.”
The season for kayaking the Na Pali Coast usually runs between May 15th and September 15th, when the waters are the calmest. When staying at our Kauai resort, ask your concierge about the kayak tours available to you. You won't regret it!
