Kauai is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with a variety of endangered, unique, and rare birds that can be found only in the Hawaiian Islands. Many birds can be seen all across the island, but there are two north shore sanctuaries of particular interest—Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge and Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge.
